normally I don't think it is usefull to discuss grades, but this time I want to make an exception: I've just climbed Takla Makan yesterday ans it is such a beautiful route, I also climb in Freyr, and I think Takla Makan is a very ice 7a, harder than Captain Coeur DM direct which is 6C+, Takla Makan is maybe not the hardest 7a I've climbed but a very nice one, It all depends on your style: I saw people climbing Voleurs de Spits but having trouble with Taklan Makan....

ok, forget the comparison with freyr (cool place with its own specificities of both climbing and grading). take most other 7as in Berdorf - Takla Makan is 6c!

woohoo dutch downgrader paradise. if you want hardcore 7as in Berdorf do ecossaisse, or local zeros, or arette paulette. and not i don't want to climb slimy freyr 6bs. btw. "welcome to the machine" is such an easy 7a in freyr that i would say freyr is only hard as long it is slimy and not vertical ;)

there is no way this route could be 7a. 6c maximum. climb some 6cs or 6bs in Freyr for comparison!

Before the route was ré-equiped, the start was from right. with good method for your feet, you can do it "static";
one of my favorite route in Berdorf

a bouldery start with a possibility to start either a bit on the left or a bit more to the right ... the rest is just continuity.
